Elina Papaspyropoulou

Elina Papaspyropoulou is a graduate of the School of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has also attended the Faculty of Law of the Leibniz University in Hannover, Germany.

She holds the position of Director General of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies since April 2022. She is also Vice President of the BoD of the Occupational Fund of Private Insurance (TEA-EAPAE) and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors at the Greek Institute of Insurance Studies. Additionally, she is a Member of the Executive Committee of Insurance Europe, the European insurance and reinsurance federation, and a Guest Board Member at EFICERT, a European network of institutions promoting common standards and certification in insurance education.

Elina has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry specializing in liability insurance for major commercial and industrial risks. In 1997 she started as a Liability underwriter at Gerling VAG and in 1999 she took over the management of the company's Liability Division. From 2015 to 2019 she was the Technical Director at HDI Global SE (underwriting and claims) for the company's  operations in Greece, Balkans, and SE Mediterranean. In September 2019, she took over the Management of the Facultative Reinsurance Department at AON Greece SA for the company's operations in Greece and Cyprus.
