Jonathan Kassian

Jonathan leads Flood Re’s work to measure and incentivize resilience, with a focus on property-level flood resilience (PFR). Working with industry and government, his focus is on developing an actionable evidence base for resilience and policies that reduce flood risk, with projects including the implementation of Build Back Better and growing the UK’s PFR industry through research and partnerships. He has also led Flood Re’s work on nature-based solutions, and its insurance market data. Before Flood Re, he spent five years working on energy security issues and international partnerships with the UK Government, following a decade in public policy work in Canada focused on innovation and economic development.
